About SAM

SAM, derived from my full name of Samantha. I was formerly a certified Nutritionist whom attended various public speaking, radio interview, managed wellness program for obese/overweight individuals and also in collaboration with corporate organization to enhance employees' performance and images. Also, I was used to provide health advice and consultation to clients with different needs.

Soon then I've came across an opportunity to pursue my dream to start up a pets hotel thus I had to give up my full time Nutritionist job. After running my pets hotel business for almost 1 year, I found myself missing my job as a Nutritionist but at the same time ❤ my current job too (yeah I'm greedy), and a sudden thought strikes me that I can eventually become a part time Nutritionist blogger!! And then it motivates me to create this blog and everything later on!

Personally, I'm not fancy of obsessively clean eating or counting calories (I love chocolates and pasta😂). My philosophy is simply to eat a balance diet and be physically active! I'd officially become a herbivore (vegetarian😂) since 2014, not totally because of health issue (vegetarian is not necessarily healthy, a balance diet is the point), reason is because I ❤ animals to the extend where I simply don't want to eat them😇

Well..
Sam Says... is created as a platform leading to various Nutritional information, healthy recipes and to feature healthy and yummy vegetarian foods (be it cafe, restaurants, hawker stalls, etc).

If you have any questions about Nutrition or health, or if you have any awesome recipe or nice place to dine in where you would like share with me, please contact me atsamantha.t810@gmail.com

Even thoughtful enough to serve free lemon juice (and FREE REFILL) to every table, regardless of what have you ordered! Simply ❤ this concept so much! FYI lemon juice is rich in Vitamin C and it helps in digestion and detoxification. Lets start with their Signature "Grandmum Green Rice Nasi Lemak" (RM7.50) . It comes together with hard boiled egg, cucumber slices, papadom, sunflower seeds, fried chicken substitutes and samba...

Ba Xian Vegetarian Court @ Kepong

I've seen many people recommending this vegetarian court in Kepong, the pictures looked so tempting so I decided to give it a try. The food court located in a remote area from Kepong town.  But you'll find it pretty 'happening' once you reach there, there is live concert everyday in the centre of the court. It's a good place for chit-chat and supper especially after a long day at work. Ba Xian Vegetarian Court is located in a corner of the Sun City Food Court. It's very easy to find by the big red banner. Fish head meehun (S) - RM7.00 I ordered the smallest size but the portion is even large enough for 2 pax. The soup is not too salty nor milky, paired with some tofu, chinese cabbage, vegetarian fish (fu chok) and mihun, it makes up an ideal light dinner! Vegetarian Mongolian Chicken Chop - RM12.80 This is somehow disappointing. I thought the chicken chop would've made from beancurd or mushroom, in fact I ca...

Yishensu @ One Utama

Sorry for neglecting the blog for some time as I was super busy on my full time job during the past few weeks due to year end holiday😌😌😌 And I finally get a short escape from my busy schedule to celebrate New Year Eve with my family in One Utama, so we'd dine in my favorite vegetarian restaurant in One Utama - Yishensu😋 Yishensu was originated from a restaurant named as  Yishen Vegetarian Restaurant which started since 1987 in Perak. Today they have expanded into 4 branches - One Utama, BBT One Boulevard, Klang, Ipoh and Perak. We've ordered 3 dishes + brown rice  + 1 chinese tea set as our lunch. Mixed Vegetable Curry (RM23.30) Their curry is always known to be good, one of my favorite food in Yishensu was their Curry noodle but I didn't order it since my parents prefer to have rich with dishes. The curry was rich in taste and never stingy in the materials, worth recommending👍 Anyway, it would be even better if the cauliflowers can be ...
